Five Ways to Use Artificial Intelligence You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

While using artificial intelligence (AI) to do your homework is frowned upon, tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, or Gemini can be used in many other ways. From telling you when to hit the gym to pretending to be your mom, here’s a list of interesting ways you could be using AI.

1. Mock convo

Chances are you’re going to screw up talking to your crush for the first time or talking to your teacher about the grade they gave you. Conversations can be scary sometimes, but with artificial intelligence, you can trial-run your own dialogues. The more information you give the system, the more accurate the response will be. Try asking AI to pretend to be your school counselor, teacher, family member, or friend and see how it thinks they’ll respond.

2. Keep up with trends

“What does cheugy mean?” “Who is baby gronk?” If you ever feel behind on a trend or scared to be deemed uncool, don’t hesitate to ask AI. With ChatGPT’s genz 4 meme feature, you can insert a word, a picture of a meme, or a screenshot of a TikTok, and it will try its best to explain it to you.

3. Craft a meal out of food in your fridge

If you are sitting at home, hungry, and don’t know what to cook, try ChatGPT’s Sous Chef. Simply upload a picture of your refrigerator or pantry and it will create an easy recipe with ingredients you already have.

4. Media recommendations

If you are looking for a movie, show, song, or book that is similar to one you love, you can ask AI for recommendations. AI can analyze your interests and find related media. It can make a list of Mac Miller-esque songs or recommend a new murder mystery for you to binge.

5. Make your own schedule

The next time you get overwhelmed with the amount of work you have, ask AI to make you a personal schedule. AI can craft anything from a weekly fitness routine to a travel itinerary.
