Bears gathered in Ayers Gym to celebrate the end of the year with the Spring Rally on Friday. Students came dressed in neon attire, while the rally itself featured vibrant performances from the cheer team, dance team, and the Pacific Islander Club, as well as games and an introduction to next year’s 12th Man.
Six students opened the rally by singing the national anthem in beautiful harmony. Throughout the whole rally, Leadership kept up the spirit with witty jokes and short competitions between students and clubs. “I’m really proud of all of our committee members. We worked really hard to prepare for this rally,” junior and Leadership student Ella Badawi said.
Leadership then gave shoutouts to the robotics team for their first trip to the world championships in Houston in over a decade, as well as to student-athletes for their hard work and dedication this year.
The dance and cheer teams also showed off impressive talent, performing energetically and catching attention and applause. The Pacific Islander Club finished off the rally, drawing in audience members who clapped along and passed out money to the performers while they danced.
“I think the student body was very engaged, and we are really happy with the turnout,” sophomore and Leadership student Lily Hackett said. “We really hope to plan many more rallies, especially in the Gym.”
