In the past few freezing months, many students have grown tired of their typical outdoor spots. Many have migrated to classrooms, the library, or other areas to stay toasty. Take a look at some of students’ favorite spots to bear the winter.
G-18: Kristen Bryan’s Classroom
Math teacher Kristen Bryan keeps her classroom open at lunch, creating a friendly place for students to eat and recharge. It’s a comfortable setting for conversation or to simply take a break from the chilly air, and finish up some last minute work. “Every time I go in there, I’m just so locked in. And I always get so much work done when I go there and it’s great, and Ms. Bryan’s so helpful,” junior Alon Weinsberg said.
G-14: Abby Korman’s Classroom

Next time it’s a chilly day, English teacher Abby Korman’s class is a great option, with a comfortable corner to hangout and an array of snacks. With a multitude of chips and an open door this is a perfect lunchtime hangout spot.
D-13: Bobby Wong’s Classroom

“When it’s raining, Mr. Wong’s room is very nice,” freshman Emma Xu said. Math teacher Bobby Wong’s door is always open, and his classroom offers a calm environment to chat with friends or enjoy a peaceful break. The warm classroom presents a perfect place to finish up classwork from the day or for later periods.
The Library

“The library, it’s warm, and it’s open, there’s seating, that’s where I go,” freshman Norah Scheible said. This not-so-secret lunch spot has risen in popularity in recent months, with dozens of students rushing to the library for its warmth every day. Plus, the quiet atmosphere makes it perfect to finish any last-minute work.
C-2: Jason Chang’s Classroom

Science teacher Jason Chang offers a cozy room full of friendly faces for kids to eat their lunches. With an array of different tables and an open door, this is a great place on campus to start hibernating, and maybe get some help with science.
G-Wing

“I like to hang out in the G-Wing when it’s cold outside because it has an upstairs and downstairs and it just gives comforting vibes to me,” freshman Sophiann Lin said. Many Bears have decided to bear the cold and stick to their usual spots at the lunch tables. Despite the chill, most find it easiest to just bundle up in warm clothes.
