How do you feel about winning the election?

Weber: “We’re really glad that our class trusts us with this responsibility and liked the ideas we had. We’re happy this was the result and are looking forward to putting our plans into action.”

What are some of the plans you intend to initiate during your presidency?

Podoly: “We are excited to bring together the grade through our events and overall make M-A more spirited, one grade at a time. We also have plans for academic support because we know junior year is one of the toughest, and we plan to apply for mental health programs through clinics. Additionally, to lighten your days, we’ll be adding more food opportunities like donut Mondays, popsicles on Fridays, and more.”

Senior class presidents: Axel Pillette and Shawnak Shivakumar

How do you feel post-election, especially since this is your third year in office?

Shivakumar: “It feels great. We are taking it back to the first time we ran when we were freshmen. Back then, it was a good opportunity to become part of the school, and since then, we have just been on a roll. We are very grateful that our peers want to see us back for the third time, and we are excited for the future.”

What do the rising seniors have in store for them?

Pilette: “The current senior class presidents have done a solid job, whether it be the senior sunrise or bonfire, and we’re definitely looking forward to modeling after their success. Besides that, we also have new events planned like hosting M-A alum lunches.”
