On Thursday, March 24, the M-A swim program beat Woodside High School to continue their undefeated season (3-0) in PAL (Peninsula Athletic League).
Each team took the victory with a significant lead. Boys varsity won 96-59 and the girls led 104-52. The boys JV team dominated 125-44 and the girls JV won 132-40.
Head Coach Brett Koerten commented, “The team is looking really good. I’m excited for the rest of the season. The team has really been performing well and we’re looking forward to PAL [finals].”
Senior Vincent Busque reflected, “[Woodside’s] varsity boys were supposed have a close meet because one of their swimmers is committed to UC Berkeley, but I think we pulled this one off.”
Junior Faith Dunn qualified for Central Coast Section (CCS), and looks forward to competing there. She commented, “that’s the time to go fast and get your personal record of the whole year.”
The Bears host Carlmont High Schoool next at 3:30p.m. on Thursday. Be sure to check back for updates on M-A swimming.
