M-A’s Most Significant Demonstrations Through Time

Protests and demonstrations have long served as powerful tools for change, amplifying the voices of communities that might otherwise go unheard. With it’s rich history and diverse student body, M-A has often found itself in the midst of confronting conflict, stemming from both within the District and nationally. 

M-A’s students have consistently utilized their resources to stand up for what they believe in. Throughout M-A’s history, there have been seven significant protests and walkouts that highlight student-led resilience in the face of societal issues that directly impact their daily lives. Below is a timeline documenting these events:

Amari is a junior in her second year of journalism. From reporting a local teacher strike to the best new albums, she covers a bit of everything. When not writing, she designs for the Mark and works on the social media team for the M-A Chronicle.
