Whether it is students running to snatch a slice of pizza at lunch or grabbing a cup of cereal to snack on during brunch, M-A’s food offerings play a crucial role in keeping students’ stomachs full during class. But not all items are created equal, some are definitely items to get again while others make skipping lunch feel like a better option.
1. Cheese Pizza
Hot and fresh, this staple is definitely worth the line. While the pizza is generally only offered on Fridays, students have caught on to this delicious menu option, crowding the line every time it’s offered. The only downside? Because of the pizza’s popularity, there is a high possibility that the pizza will run out. Each slice has the perfect amount of sauce and crust and is topped with fresh cheese. The nostalgic taste is a perfect lunch for the end of the week.
2. Caesar Salad

The Caesar Salad is crispy and fresh, adding the perfect healthy option. The salad comes with ranch—a classic, delicious pairing. With a generous serving, the salad is packed in a big plastic container that makes it great to eat on the go. Topped with airy, seasoned croutons, along with a sprinkling of cheese, this salad is a must-try.
3. Pepperoni Pizza
Another Friday staple, the pepperoni pizza is a close second to the cheese. While the pepperoni lacks bold flavor, the item remains a very good option, with a perfect balance of tangy sauce and the nostalgic greasy cheese. It’s for sure still worth the end-of-week rush.
4. Milk

Surprisingly, the regular milk is much better than the chocolate alternative. It perfectly matches expectations: a solid, average milk. It’s also accessible most days, so be sure to reach for it to accompany a meal or to pair it with the cereal.
5. Ham Deli Sandwich
While nothing extraordinary, this sandwich is decent and could keep someone full through the end of the day. The sandwich is piled high with quality ham, which is slightly salty but still flavorful. While the ham and tasty roll make a great combination, the sharp cheese is a bit overpowering and lessens the overall experience.

6. Carrots
The carrots are rather dry and a little disappointing, especially when paired with the cafeteria’s superstar pizza. Even though they leave a mildly unpleasant aftertaste, they are still worth eating because of the pizza’s small portion.

7. Chocolate Milk
To put it plainly, the chocolate milk is underwhelming. The milk tastes watered down, making the water fountains a better choice for a drink at school. However, the chocolate milk is always satisfyingly cold, making it a decent choice on a hot day.
8. Cheeseburger
This menu option is a hit or miss. It’s possible to get lucky but unlikely. The bun is occasionally soggy, and the flavorless meat is covered in ketchup. Either way, though, the cheese has a weird, rubbery taste that’s pretty deterring. Despite the small chance of catching it on a lucky day, this burger is likely to underwhelm your taste buds. Any other alternative menu item is strongly recommended.
9. Fish and Chips

This option is soggy, and feels undercooked to the point that the fries more closely resemble mashed potatoes. The whole dish desperately needs salt, and even tartar sauce cannot hide the texture or the lingering fishy aftertaste.
