As surprising as it may seem, the first semester of the 2024-25 school year is coming to an end. Colder weather is here and winter outfits have officially taken over campus. Here are some of the best.
Junior Estefany Roblevo showed up to school wearing dark-toned colors. She’s in a brown generational sweater, brown Ross flare pants, and brown UGG boots. “My outfit right now is giving fall and winter vibes, so I thought it would be a cute idea to wear it today,” she said.
Instructional Vice Principal Emily Rigotti explained her outfit was completely inspired and chosen by her six-year-old son. “I’m wearing brown boots today because it’s cold. Today is Friday, so I can wear jeans, too,” she said. Pairing the boots and jeans with a blue sweater, her outfit is cozy and professional.
Freshman Johanna Key’s winter outfit includes a red knit sweater from Target, UGG boots, and gray sweatpants. “I think this is perfect because a knit sweater is one of my favorite things to wear during this season and sweatpants and boots provide me comfort,” she said. Key mentioned that she enjoys dressing with a focus on fashion some days and a focus on comfort for others.
Senior Nicolee Ohtaki wears a Brandy Melville sweater and a Garage tank top paired with Edikted jeans and green Adidas Sambas. She also secured a brown Brandy Melville belt around her jeans. “I think this time of year goes well with sweaters. It was kind of warm today, so I wanted to wear a tank top as well,” she said.
Junior Emi Cordova brings a stylish, laid-back vibe to M-A, pairing a thrifted Harley Davidson top with a thrifted flannel and Urban Outfitters jeans. All of that is topped off with a classic Dickies beanie. “My dad is my inspiration,” Emi said. “His style is like this.”
Sophomore Evan Threatt rocks a Mario sherpa, Gap cargo pants, and black New Balance shoes. The mostly black set allows pops of color to truly stand out. He described his outfit as “a comfy Friday outfit.”
One of the most notable fashion trends at M-A is pajama pants. Junior Jack Bullard likes to wear them along with his navy crew neck and white shoes. “If I’m being honest, I stayed up late studying for English, and I fell asleep. I woke up really late, and I was thinking that there’s no harm in pulling out some pajama pants for the wintertime and for the last regular Friday of the semester,” he said.
