Though cloudy skies have since returned, students showed out for the two warmest days of March. They dusted off their summer wardrobes to put together top-notch fits.

Sophomore Willow Basta, whose style is “inspired by happiness and joy,” wears a romper from Free People and a bandeau top from Natural Life that reads “follow the sun.”
“I’ve got my nails painted with bright spring colors,” she added. “I’m a fan of dogs out when your nails are painted or if it’s the vibe of your outfit. I think if you’re wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, dogs are not out. But if you’re wearing shorts, it’s fine.”

Sophomore Felix Crim sports Amazon jean shorts and a “Houston” shirt straight from Texas.
“I sewed the lace on the shorts. I’m a very specific-sized person, so you have to get a little creative,” he said.

“I wanted to be really happy today, so I wore my flip-flops,” senior Pierce McGuire said. “I just want everyone to know how happy I was.”
His friend, senior John Cutler, took a less calculated approach to his fit. “I woke up,” he said. He sports a University of Oregon T-shirt and pajama pants.

Freshman Marco Cardenas wears a white soccer Jersey and light-wash jorts.“The shorts are from Walmart, and this shirt was gifted to me,” he said. “My style is inspired by whatever I see on social media.”
Cardenas is one of many M-A jorts advocates. “I think it’s a nice style,” he said.

Senior Crystal Guerra Herrera rocks an all-Hollister fit. Although she values originality, she gets some of her fashion inspiration from TikTok as well.
Guerra Herrera is a fellow jorts enthusiast. “I’m a jorts fan, for sure,” she said. On the hoodie in 80-degree weather, she said, “I’ll take it off later, but it’s for the style.”
