Senior Class Wheels Around Campus on Last Full Day

To celebrate their final week of school, the graduating Class of 2026 organized a clever and playful senior prank on Friday. A handful of seniors arrived at school on wheels, including skateboards, scooters, and roller skates, laughing as they navigated the hallways and Friday pizza lines.

“My favorite part was seeing random guys I only kinda know zoom around on skateboards,” senior Harper Franklin said. “A girl in my ceramics class wore rollerblades the entire day.”

A few students had also toilet papered the redwood trees on the Green. Later, seniors spent their lunch time throwing water balloons at each other in lively battles and playing on a Slip ‘N Slide, setting a tone of silliness and school spirit.

“I was on the Green during the water balloon fight, so that was really fun watching others get so excited about it. Also, I saw some others on scooters in the hallways, and someone even brought a bright green hoverboard to my English class, which was pretty funny,” senior Nora Garcia said.

“My favorite part of the senior prank was definitely Ms. Rios’ confiscating like half of our [water] balloons, and then us having more balloons, and somebody telling us about a secret faucet and helping us fill up more balloons, and giving the people what they want,” senior Jaysce Reese said.

Next week, the graduating Bears will celebrate together with more traditions, including Senior Sunset on Monday, Senior Picnic on Tuesday, Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, and Grad Night on Friday.

“I’m looking forward to Senior Sunset. I think it’s gonna be mostly chill. But [I’m] definitely [excited for] Grad Night, keeping the same energy. You know, extra hype for my last week with everybody,” Reese said.
