Fall Pumpkin Patch Takes Over the Green

Students gathered at lunch on Monday for festive fall fun with a pumpkin patch organized by Leadership. To get into the Halloween mood, students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities and purchase fall-themed treats right on the Green.

“I think having events like this are important for M-A because festive activities that everyone wants to participate in really bring the community together,” senior organizer Natalie Shannon said.

Dozens of students flocked to the Green to celebrate fall with pumpkin painting, cornhole, a pumpkin carving contest, a bake sale, a candy corn counting contest, and more.

“I haven’t done a lot of fall stuff yet, and it’s fun to get to spend time with friends at lunch,” senior Quinne Davis said.

To make these events happen, Leadership puts many hours into planning and advertising. This work allows for events like the pumpkin patch to dazzle the school with festive spirit and strengthen our student community.

“I think events like this are super fun, especially because my middle school didn’t have them,” freshman Katie Haarmann said.
If you missed out on Pumpkin Patch Day, don’t worry! M-A has plenty of exciting events coming up such as Trick-or-Treat Street on Oct. 30 and a Dia de los Muertos celebration on Nov. 1.
