Springing Into Summer With a Feel Good Friday

May 19th was a Feel Good Friday and M-A’s Spring Carnival during lunch. Students got an extended lunch time to play games, do activities, and eat some great food. As the school year is coming to an end, this was the last Feel Good Friday of the 2022-23 school year, which made it especially memorable!
Leadership organized these fun foods and activities:

Friendship bracelet/lanyard making, G-4

Beaded bracelets/crafting pom poms, G-10

Flower arranging, B-23

3D printing/button making, Library Project Lab

Board Games, PAC Cafe

The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special, G-7

Sports, New Gym/Turf Field

Farmers market, blacktop/P-wing

Food vendors, the Green/blacktop

Sophomore and Leadership student Zoe Fong said, “Our committee in Leadership was completely dedicated to this one event. From brainstorming to outreach to advertising, this event was completely created by students! We were also lucky to work with students from outside of leadership who contributed to the event with music and food.”

Sophomore Sabina Ortiz said, “I wish we could have more Feel Good Fridays because of how much I love the activities.”

Fong added, “We had a variety of vendors come to the event to provide refreshing treats for the hot day, including an ice cream truck and a paletero stand. So many students were able to enjoy things that are rarely available on normal school days!”

Angeleah Fayette was a sophomore at M-A in her first year of journalism. She wanted to write about issues she feels passionate about and has opinions on. She enjoyed reading, swimming, dancing, and hanging out with friends.
