Bear Bites: Trader Joe’s Holiday Snacks

2 mins read

The holiday season is a wonderful period to spend quality time with your family, enjoy winter traditions, and most importantly, stock up on the essentials: Trader Joe’s holiday snacks. We went to Trader Joe’s with one thing on our minds: getting as many holiday snacks as possible.

If you thought Black Friday was the epitome of chaotic holiday shopping, you must have never stepped foot into a Trader Joe’s after the release of their holiday line. Hands were flying across shelves, snatching any holiday treat they could get ahold of. Nevertheless, I held my head high and managed to grab a horde of snacks to review.

First, we grabbed the Gingerbread Sandwich Cookies. They’re filled with sweet icing and sandwiched together to make the perfect pair. While these cookies were fantastic on their own, a quick dunk in a cold glass of milk made these a 10/10.

Next, we bought the Mini Peppermint Meringues. If you’re a fan of the traditional sweet, crispy meringue, the peppermint flavor will blow your socks off. The subtle peppermint flavor and crunchy candy cane bits truly placed this treat to a league of its own.

After that, we grabbed the Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars, which are crispy and thin chocolate cookies covered in a chocolate glaze and festive sprinkles. We grabbed a handful of this chocolaty goodness and couldn’t stop ourselves from eating more. They reminded us of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies and we appreciated the fun, festive flare on their decor. Look, even Jojo couldn’t stop himself from grabbing a box!

Finally, with every turn we took, we saw hundreds of tins of a strange snack known as Jingle Jangle (no, Riverdale fans, not that one). Found in a 22-oz tin can, this snack mix is celebrating its 10th holiday season in the aisles. It contains classic treats such as mini pretzels, caramel popcorn, the infamous Joe-Joe’s cookies, and more, all coated in tasty chocolate. Perfectly sweet, crunchy, and festive, Jingle Jangle will satisfy all your winter cravings.

Joe-Joe’s are a classic treat that comes in many different flavors, but during the holiday season, you can find the limited edition Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s on the shelves. These festive cookies have the usual chocolate cookie on the outside, but the filling is stuffed with peppermint specks to celebrate the holiday season.

Selling for just $1.99 per can, the Something Spritzy beverages are exactly what you need to get into the holiday spirit. Made from a mix of orange, grapefruit, and cranberry juices, Something Spritzy is the perfect mocktail to enjoy throughout the holidays. This festive drink is brand new this year, so go and grab it when you get a chance!

Just before we left, we spied the Peppermint Pretzel Slims trying to hide from our hungry mouths. The sweet white chocolate with candy cane bits reminded us of Pop Rocks which paired nicely with the pretzels. As time went on, we kept finding ourselves reaching into the bag for more. You just can’t go wrong with chocolate-covered pretzels, can you?

What would the holiday season be without the peppermint and gingerbread flavors of Trader Joe’s snacks? Whether it be the peppermint meringue or gingerbread cookies, there is festive cheer to be shared with the many Trader Joe’s holiday snacks. Quick! Go out and get your hands on the opportunity to elevate your palette with holiday treats. If you don’t, we will.
